Chloe Sutton is a 2-time Olympian and 5-time National Champion in both pool and open water swimming. Chloe won her first National Title at the age of 14 in the 10k open water race. At 16 years old, Chloe was the first American woman ever to race in the 10k open water at the Olympics. In 2012, Chloe made history again by making the Olympics in the pool in the 400 free and becoming the first american to switch from open water to the pool. For over 8 years she traveled on the National Team with Team USA, competing with them and also learning what techniques helped them become the world’s best. At 25, Chloe now focuses on sharing everything that she’s learned to help the next generation of swimmers reach the next level in their sport and learn skills that will help them be successful for the rest of their lives both in the pool and out. She also does motivational and corporate speaking to share her story and the lessons that she learned from swimming.
Chloe was born February 3rd, 1992 to David and Wendy Sutton. Wendy was a pharmaceutical sales rep and model from Chicago and David was a football player at the Air Force Academy working in space and missile defense in the Air Force. Being military, the Sutton family moved around every 1-2 years. It was hard on them at times having to move so often, but they used it as an opportunity to get to see different sites around the country and grow closer as a family. Chloe is very close to her 6'5" 285lbs "little brother", Colin, who is now graduated from The University of Colorado where he was on full scholarship for football. Colin now works in finance.
Chloe loves to meet new people, share her story, and help people wherever she can. Even though she is retired from the sport, she still spends a lot of her time teaching lessons and clinics to keep one foot always in the water. Chloe loves spending time with her friends and being a normal 25 year old on top of her busy schedule. Chloe graduated with a degree in communications with a passion for storytelling and connecting with others. Chloe also has a few fun hobbies including anything fitness related, crocheting, baking, and traveling. As a strong Christian, Chloe enjoys sharing her faith whenever appropriate and has a close relationship to God.
Chloe is now the director of marketing for the Fitter and Faster Swim Tour where she is able to work from home during the day promoting hundreds of swim clinics every year with dozens of Olympians and National Team swimmers! She travels the country on weekends with the Tour teaching high performance technique with swimmers of all ages. Chloe is able to mentor new pros and teach them how to become successful through marketing themselves and teaching at Fitter and Faster clinics.
